I don't believe the government has the right to decide that they have the power to take someone's life. What if the evidence against someone is wrong? Or forged? Or mistreated or altered or sketchy? It basically means the government can kill anyone they want as long as they can convince a jury that he's a murderer. News flash: our government hasn't exactly been trustworthy. I wouldn't put it past them to forge or alter evidence to make someone they wanted dead look guilty for murder.
