Holy Balls, The DayZ mod came out on steam, what does this mean? Well, faster download (I tested), updates automatically.
This also means it is easier and it is one step closer to the DayZ Standalone!

ONE STEP CLOSER

Oh, and a new Dev. blog.

Noo! Arma 2 must forever always be on pc. Plus Arma on console would suck.

i agree

I don't see how it would suck on consoles more then anything else would.

Because probably every damn key on the keyboard is bound to something when playing Arma. Good luck fitting all the functionality on a console controller.

still gotta buy CO though :(

I hope the DayZ servers will no longer turn up in the server search menu while playing CO or Arma 2, A lot of people have had enough with it's community at this point.

Me too, and when you launch the DayZ mod from steam, it changes the server list to ONLY dayz mod servers.
I found no way to change it. So lets start up Arma and see if they're gone.

Yep, no more DayZ servers when ARMA: II OA is launched.
Only if you launch the DayZ mod from steam.

Well it'd give 360 goofs to get a taste of ArmA 2 and possibly convert to the PC for a much better version. Besides some people with horrid toasters like me may not be able to run ArmA II and may use the console version as a alternative.

Gunter has said it all.

YES. Now I don't have to screw around with the downloaders and stuff!

Because operating DayZ Commander is SUCH a hideously hard task.

Will stick with DayZ Commander, simply because vanila DayZ got pretty boring. DayZero/DayZ+ all the way.
