Author Topic: Why not Blockland for X-box 360?  (Read 4643 times)

Maybe a group of people can like, convert the torque script into C++ since torque is based off of C++ then port it to X-box 360?

This has been suggested/requested many times and it's never going to happen.

Then why not a group of people completely remake blockland for C++ or C#?

EDIT: Its still possible, and it might happen.

They'd be sued for copyright infringement, Blockland is badspots and will continue to be his for a long while.

Blockland is a building game. Minecraft made it since it would be compatible, but Blockland would never due to ALL of the controls. Plus, Minecraft for the XBOX 360 sucked any way.

Couldn't they ask or even pay him to do it?

Minecraft wasn't compatible with X-Box 360 since it ran on Java. They converted the code to C++. It didn't suck on the X-Box 360 either.
Blockland could have 2 sets of controls during gameplay that you can switch to, like one set for moving around and playing, and the second set for building.

Pfft, what about addons?
Plus the whole blockland style of gameplay doesn't fit

There could be like an add-on hub somewhat like RTB that you can get add-ons from. It could be the RTB list.
That's because your used to the PC version.

considering it costs about $40,000 to update a game, it's pointless

$40000? I was thinking more about $500 or something.

There is a different way to develop things for the xbox, I am pretty sure that is refering to disc games or games baught on the store.

Also, Xbox's use C#

Suggested many times, it won't happen.

I wish Badspot would invest in doing this.I would buy it, but sadly It won't happen any time soon :(
