His message came from hell, guys!

Taking advice on animals from you is a tad risky though
I'd appreciate it if you'd knock it off. That's probably the best thing you can do, because there isn't anything you can do, really.

He's several years old. He just wonders between spots by us and sits, but he won't eat or drink.

It sounds a lot like what happened when my one cat had kidney failure, he was only about 7.

It's exceedingly unlikely you'll have any proper help from us, as none of us are Vets (that I know of), and none of us can diagnose a cat across the internet by just it's symptoms.

I'll be honest and say that it's hard to tell.
It could be anything, from a small infection, to organ failure, a mental condition, or (in the worst case) a cancer/tumour.

I can't suggest much, other than to ensure it has plenty of food and drink available to it, and to perhaps try changing it's current food to some other brand or type.
Does it normally have dry food or wet food, or both?
Otherwise, try to keep it comfortable, but don't panic over it.

Just be aware, that if it wanders off somewhere obscure, it could be a sign it's getting ready to die. Cats quite often try to find comfortable calm places where they can die in peace.

Other than that however, your only option is to get veterinary help. Sadly, Vet care is ridiculously expensive everywhere. If you can push to the costs of the scans, then go for them.
The upsetting thing is, you could pay out a large sum only to find it's a disease nothing can be done about, and it will just cost you more money to have the cat put to sleep.
If it seems like it's in a very poor state of living, the kindest thing to do may be to put it down.

I hope it doesn't come to that though, and I really hope your cat gets better. Sorry to hear you've got this problem.
My cat, of 14 years age, died the other year rather slowly from what appeared to be an eye infection, and turned out to be a cancer. It was rather traumatic. It's a shame to think your cat is also sick.

I feel like organ failure is the worst, the only thing to do is put it down. I guess if my cat had cancer I would also put it down because we couldn't afford treatment.

Cancers tend to be much slower to kill than organ failures (depending on the organ), and you can progressively see the animal get skinnier and skinnier as the cancer grows.
Treatment is also rather difficult/impossible.
You don't give chemotherapy to animals, since it would likely kill them or not work in the same way.
Surgery is often very dangerous, as animals don't take well to be put under anaesthetics, and many animals are small and they will bleed a lot.
Radiotherapy would likely kill too.
Most animals aren't really strong enough to survive treatment for most cancers.

My cat had the cancer on or near the front of the brain, and caused swelling on the eyes.
She became rather skinny and became blind. She was incapable of walking anywhere on her own, lest she fall or hurt herself.
Once we found out it was cancer (initially her eye glazed over with a crystal like substance, and we thought it was an infection in the eye, which cats often get), we decided to put her to sleep rather quickly, as it was unfair to let her carry on. If we had, she'd have only gotten even sicker until her body couldn't handle it anymore.

it is the time of cat ramadan

When I go over to him, it is like he's thinking "I feel so horrible. :panda:" to be honest, and not silly with the emoticon. Just... he feels bad, he's unhappy, and it's like he's waiting for us to help him when we can't afford to.

Edit: Hopefully we can get enough to at least figure out what it specifically is. I'm going to sleep for now. Thanks everyone for the advice (thus far). It's hard to tell what it is, but it's good to get an idea from other pet owners. Just have a better idea.

Sunday, we noticed he stopped wanting to walk and would sit right down. My family thought he was going to die soon - I insisted he get treatment we can't afford. I left him with mom, came down because I was worried, and she was force-feeding him. We kept force feeding him and he started getting his energy back. He still sleeps/rests a lot, and he is extremely thin right now, but he has started eating by himself when he chooses. Hopefully we can fatten him up, because as I said, he's still unhealthily thin. I still want to know what caused him to simply not want to eat. He isn't out of this yet.

what to do really depends on the age of the cat.
there is the ($ > possible lifetime left) equation.

Glad to hear that. Keep trying to force feed him once every day or two days if he refuses to eat normally, and same with water except daily.
He is probably sick, hope it's nothing too serious.

I wonder how you got the notion that it was a good idea to be a gigantic starfish.

His cat's extremely sick and your incentive is to spam and say it's going to die of cancer?

My cat happened to have the same symptoms.

Took her to the vet to have her given antibiotics.

They also gave her a hump of water in her back to keep her hydrated until she was well.
