Windows 8 slows downloads considerably?

Recently, I got windows 8 and I've noticed that my downloads are going a lot slower. I've tested the downloads on two computers in my house, one on windows 8, and one on windows vista. The downloads go the same speed as they've always gone on vista, but on 8, it takes me 8 minutes just to download 25 mb.

Is this just a coincidence of some sort or does it have to do with windows 8?

mabye other people in your household have been downloading more things and reducing your bandwidth

my downloads work better when i dont have 6 other firefoxes open with pron

i dont really download much anyways

i tried it again and it's going faster now. but it's still 34 seconds for 25 mb. i tried downloading the same file on vista right after it completed, and it finished in less than 2 seconds. i don't understand?
