So I've been sorta following news about the next gen consoles, mostly the new playstation and xbox and Im wondering what you guys think about the whole thing.

Im not sure which I would buy, the new playstation or the new xbox. Waiting to see a lot more information like backwards compatibility and stuff like that before I make my final decision. Either way Ill most likely be getting a next gen console, if not that a computer.

I'd say this is one of the last generations of consoles and neither will be worth buying. Save up for a good PC instead. :)

Other than an increase in disc memory, I don't really see how consoles can get any better.

I honestly think that consoles will eventually fade away and PCs will become the main gaming medium.

If the other consoles keep going as they are, I might just stick with the Wii U for Nintendo IPs and Virtual Console.

A console is much cheaper than a gaming PC.
A $500 PC Probably won't run something like Battlefield 3
A $500 PS3 will.
