I'm pretty sure pirating games is a lot more trouble than it's worth lol
messing around with cracks and stuff
same thing for any program not made by handicaps
I'd rather just buy it than deal with that bull

and as far as software other than games goes, there's most likely a free alternative to what you're wanting anyway

I don't get how stopping pirates magically increases a company's revenue.

Thats why every game needs a demo

but if you can buy it, getting it for free is illegal for sure (unless it's like a name-your-price thing, without a minimum amount)

if someone is going to pirate a game, and they're limited by something, they'll either just find another way, or not buy it

Um, but the pirates already have a copy of the product... therefore no money is earned or lost.

Another thing is I don't get how companies lose billions to piracy.
