is the car customization worse or on par with forza (bc it can't get any better)

They could work on it some more, I'd like to be able to isolate parts of the car like how you can isolate parts of clothing.

Agreed.
Then they'd be able to throw some new features in.
PK roll when you hit the ground on happy landings, Kong Jumps and Big Cats over stuff, sliding, hell, I'd like to see a bit of a melee thing going on, imagine sprinting toward your opponent then drop kicking them?
Or pull out a crowbar and get personal with an enforcer, or beat em with your nightstick, etc.

Bump.
Had to reinstall cause crashes.

EDIT-Restarted comp yesterday, now it's messing up all over the place.
Bout 15 minutes into gametime the game shuts off.
Now it can't even connect to the server.
Reinstalling once more, and if this doesn't work, going to learn how to clear the registry of any trace of this game on the computer and reinstall properly once more.
