Yes, it's that time, Blockland forums. I've finally tried out the series made out to be one of the hardest existing right now, and I have to say, they're amazing, completely stunning works of art! I've never had a game that made me so angry, sad, and so many other emotions mixed into one session. But the feeling you get when you fully understand the game, and overcome obstacles that may seem impossible, it gives you a sense of joy and completion that just never gets old. Not hooked yet? Let me tell you the basis of the games!

"Set in a dark fantasy world, players take control of a hero who has journeyed to the fictional kingdom of Boletaria, which is being ravaged by a cursed fog that brings forth demons that feast on the souls of mortals. The game has been described as a spiritual successor to the King's Field series of games. The gameplay involves a character creation system with emphasis on gathering loot through combat with enemies in a non-linear series of varied locations. It has a unique online multiplayer system integrated into the single-player where players can leave useful messages and warnings for other players' game worlds." -Demon's Souls, Wikipedia
Dark Souls: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F-6D0WeFOM [Trailer]
"In the founding of the universe, the Earth was unformed, covered in crags, and dragons held sole dominion over the world. However, The Lords of Fire along with the human race eventually came into existence for reasons long lost to time. From the Dark, which gained meaning in contrast to Light from the newly kindled flame, emerged four powerful entities—Nito, the first of the dead; the Witch of Izalith and her daughters of chaos; Gwyn, the Lord of Sunlight, and his faithful knights; and the furtive pygmy, so easily forgotten—who harnessed the Souls of Lords to combat the dragons, eventually overthrowing them and launching humanity and its new lordly gods into a golden era known as the Age of Fire. Many years later, however, the flames supporting the Age of Fire are fading. Along with this, humans become afflicted by a mysterious mark known as the Darksign, which brands them as nigh-immortal but decrepit-looking beings known as 'Undead.' Some Undead become insanely violent and are referred to as 'Hollow'." -Dark Souls, Wikipedia
I just finished this game, and I have to say, it quickly became my favorite game. There's just so much you can do, so many ways to build up your character, so many opportunities to either co-op or fight other players, I've never experienced anything like it. I definitely recommend it, it's worth the $20 it costs for consoles ($30 with the DLC) and even the $40 it costs for PC ($20 at

Kill hydra in Darkroot Basin, quit/reload, kill gold golem to the left of hydra, kill blue golem after the first lift in Dukes, enter portal located where the gold golem wasGravelording tip: You can only infect people with Black Phantom enemies if they are in New Game +, you don't have to be in NG+ but Gravelording in NG is pointless.
To Counter Backstab (Counter BS) you lock onto someone and walk backwards, due to your latency with the other player you will get behind them and be able to backstab if they're backstab fishing. (Walking around you in a circle) Just walk backwards and hit R1! (RB/LMB)
I'll update this post with a player list if enough people play/are interested. I'll also gladly answer any questions or help anyone on Xbox if they need any!
