Ram:8GB DDR5   (very impressive)

GPU:Some fps around that of a gtx580.Expect to get fps of a 680 through a few years due to optimization.Use's gpu architecture that will be in next gen amd and nvidia gpu's.So even your latest gpu dose not have this.

CPU:x68 runs at 2ghz (not  impressive...)


PRICE:399-450(It was confirmed by sony that it will be somewhere in that price range.)

If its at the rumored 399 price then i think i will buy it.It has 8 gb DRR5 ram which most gaming pc's do not have to this day!
Keep in mind that wiiu has only 2 DRR3 ram and the rumored next xbox has 8 DRR3 ram...
The gpu of the next ps4 will have comparable fps to the GTX580 at launch and 4 or so  years later down the line will get similar fps to a GTX680 because of the  optimization from the developer.
My gpu for the pc is a 680 and i have around 10gb of ddr3 ram.At the moment i am very pleased with the ps4 specs.


Now granted,it will get outdated in a few years.But this time sony seems to have built a very nice console and seems to be more prepared for the future years of gaming compared to the past console generations :)

Xbox leaked specs(durango):

xbox will be around the same price yet weaker hardware due to the BUILT-IN kinect which forced them to have weaker hardware to match price of ps4
There will likely be no backwards compatibility for the ps4 or duragno(next xbox)
But sony has made a smart move and has bought Gakia(streaming service similar to that of onlive)  and is testing ps3 and ps2 games on it to stream to ps4 :)

The last Playstation I bought was a PS2. I never bought another Sony Console after that. The only reason I would look to invest in something like this would be for those Playstation exclusives.

Yea,ps3 was a disappointment. They seem to be making a comeback though compared to the ps3....they have a few interesting titles like knack and infamuse second son.Also,has allot of really cool online features like watching live stream game-play of one of your friends playing,you can spectate them and even take over the game and play for them if you have it which is really cool.Also,you can play a game while its downloading and all games will be available digitally at launch :)  Im glad they ditched the cell processor...also its now easier than ever for a developer to port a pc game to a console.The ps4 is very similar to make a game on compared to a pc.

Do you even have ddr5 ram yet?Though i agree consoles tend to suck in specs in 3 or so years but usally at launch they tend to be "okayish"

PSP-PS4, there really haven't been too many titles that are appealing.

Microsoft and Nintendo have all of the good games.

Unless the new Xbox blows the PS4 out of the water with launch titles, I'm probably getting the PS4.
