Author Topic: Is comcast getting a speed increase? (DO NOT POST INTERNET SPEEDS)  (Read 588 times)

I REPEAT DO NOT POST INTERNET SPEEDS *Only for comcast*

So I am suppost to get at around 35mbs down and 6 up, but now I am getting 55 mbps down and 10mbps up.
I called my mother to see if she bumped the plan but she said she didn't BUT, she told me that comcast speeds are getting an increase. I asked were she got it and she said the news is this true?

Heres a speedtest

I'm not complaining I am just wondering if this is always going to be like this than forget YES!

Rushed the topic, sorry

Why would the news be reporting Comcast getting a speed increase?

Why would the news be reporting Comcast getting a speed increase?
because that's useful information

I feel cheated, since we downloaded off of the same server the same distance from each of us. mfamfmasd

Thats true, I don't watch the news

(POSTED BECAUSE IT'S RELEVANT)
I don't know what my earlier speeds were, and I haven't noticed any change in speed.

I don't know because it's always been like this

That's strange than whys mine going up? Maybe My plan?

Great.

Now when will AT&T quicken up their stuff?

That's strange than whys mine going up? Maybe My plan?

Maybe less people are using comcast internet in your area at this time

I have the first plan on the business edition of Comcast which is 16 download 3 upload and I get speeds like 24 download and 20 upload. Comcast tends to keep one speed higher than the other, if you download large files a lot you will get low upload but high download, if you use upload a lot (Minecraft, ftp, mediafire) your download speed goes down and upload speed higher. If you use BitTorrent....all of your speeds decease for some reason. I used bittorrent to download a linux distro once and my upload speed was less than 1.
