Author Topic: Port Foward help?  (Read 2773 times)

So today, for the first time on my computer, I can't host. I tried Badspot's guide and it didn't work. I did the IP in the address bar and nothing showed up. What the heck?

Please post a console log.

I guess I should explain more. I can host (misleading post up top) but no one can join me. Then everyone says PORT FORWARD. I can't port forward which I find a huge problem. Don't see console log use here.

Please post your console log. Just because you don't see a use doesn't mean there isn't one.

I wanted to use it to look at if your UPnP is failing or something like that.

Oh. In that case, I will. (I didn't try hosting in this session. Ah well)

Anything?
sorry, I'm not on BLF all day :)

Anyway, that's not exactly what I need. Please post a console log /after/ you try to start a server.

Also, if this problem only recently started happening, try restarting your router by unplugging it, waiting 5 seconds, and plugging it back in.

Okay. This started happening today when my brother tried joining me. He has been able to after awhile. Will post a console with a failed server connect later (maybe tommorow?)

No, post a server log from the server starting.

Okay, will upload on like Friday (I can't play today)

Hope this is what you are looking for. (attachment too big)

The gateways are different on different router brands.

to find yours, type cmd into start bar, press enter, the command prompt should pop up, type in "ipconfig", find "Default Gateway" and enter that into your browser and you should be redirected to your router's page if you don't have a password.

NOTE: If you don't have a password for your router, type in the username, "admin", and the password, "password", this works for most router brands.

I hope I explained this clear enough.

Do you have some other program that could be blocking port 80 such as a firewall? try disabling your firewall.

Try a different browser; a friend of mine had the same problem with Chrome
