Author Topic: A few ideas; A Material and an Inventory system  (Read 1556 times)

I just thought of a cool way for you to get weapons in RPGs.

Is it possible that, when you use an item with another item/throw a few items into an Alchemy brick (A special brick that does the combining?) it turns into a new item, that just spawned on some "Output" brick, and is only there until you pick it up.

If it were possible, it needs a manual, so we can make our own combos.

I came up with an interesting idea, after thinking about the inventory; Is it possible to make a runescape-like inventory system? Not necessarily to refer just to runescape, MMORPGs in general, but yeah. An inventory that, when you press your cursor button, it lets you interact with the inventory; Drag stuff around, combine X with X, equip X, I think that'd be freakin' cool. Maybe you can use the right click to select all of these options. I don't know, just spewing out ideas I've had over the year I've been here.

Nice idea, I don't know about throwing them onto a brick but I can think of an easy way.

A trigger that checks your invent and then sets an allocated brick to the item that you can make with the stuff you have.

Just an  inventory gui that comes down from the top of the screen when you press a button. Then you could drag and drop stuff, eat food to regain health, use your health upgrades. Not like runescape witch fails, but like naruto rise of a ninja but with the ability to combine stuff.

Drag and drop in GUI's requires classes ported from torque game builder (the 2d engine).
