Author Topic: Is 81 degrees Celsius a bad temperature for a GPU to be at?  (Read 12977 times)

its like youre implying that matters at all

its a laptop and the heat is going to radiate through the entire computer (which isnt that big and spacious didnt you know??)
Um, I have a NVIDIA GeForce compared to an Intel GMA in a netbook. I was just explaining what a notebook was also just in case he didn't know what it was.

Jeez, why are you kinda hostile like all the time?

nVidia...

There's your problem.

81 degrees Celsius is very bad.
It's close to the temp that water boils at.

he's right, nvidia cards are awful for bitcoins
No need to be rude about it though.

He wasn't being rude there?

What? How the forget? NVIDIA cards are one of the best GPUs on the market, if not THE best.

NVidia sucks imo, it has failed me many times.

Hey.

You're stupid.
Uhmmmmm.

No. Just no.
I probably should've been more subtle.
I've had bad experiences with nVidia cards being at mild temperatures, even at idle.

Take ice, stick ice in plastic bag.
place bag of ice on overheating computer
I am not responsible for water damage

only NVIDIA card i've had that idles at outrageous temperatures would have to be my 9500GT
the others idle around 33, while the 9500GT idles at 53

Doesn't the GTX series have a floating-point cap in the GPU that the Tesla series doesn't have?

I sort of don't think you should Tesla bitcoin mine (even if the Tesla series are designed for doing fast and complex calculations) unless you really know what you're doing and you have a good budget.

I read this and I have changed my mind. Just buy an AMD graphics card.

Condensation?
