Author Topic: Torque 3D or Unity?  (Read 3107 times)

If you already know Torque, I say stick with it then.

Torque isn't really complicated to use, it's just an out-dated engine.
this is torque3D we're talking about, not TGE.

TGE is way outdated, yes, and that's what BL uses. BL doesn't even use the last iteration of TGE, it uses something like 1.3.7, albeit it's rather heavily modified. then there was TGEA, then torque3D.

unless you're saying torque3D is outdated and are not confused about versions of torque, in which case i'm removed from my status as teapot and demoted to calendar

So if BL were to be updated to Torque3D would everything break down?

That isn't going to happen, but I'm sure things would break unless it was a perfect port.

I like Blockland because it has a very retro feel to it, but sometimes I wonder..

Will we ever get with the program and become a bit more hip? It's not the 20th century anymore sadly.

????

Not sure what you're talking about. Like I said, BL's version of Torque is heavily modified, and will continue to be modified as needed.

Having a shiny new engine doesn't make a game qualify as "hip".

Depends on what game you're making.

Unity is a hell of a lot more user friendly though
