We would like to thank our users for their support over the past 3 years.

We love this community dearly, but unfortunately, due to our current career paths, neither of us is able to continue maintaining synchtube.

We know many people still use synchtube, and are planning to open source it so that it may live on. We don't have an exact release date, but you have us on record saying it's in the works.

Phil and I [Justin] started synchtube at the end of 2009 as a hobby, and launched at the beginning of 2010. We hit the frontpage of Reddit overnight, went hot on press, and over the next few years grew into a site that connected millions of people. It's been an amazing journey.

Join us on Twitter or Facebook for memories' sake.

We will miss you all.

With love,
