Here is what I found on the back of the router.
Above the Reset thing is a small hole, but I dont know if that resets the router to some factory state, or restarts the router/modem.
Just unplug it and plug it back in.

How to restart your Modem/Router:
Unplug power cord Modem/Router from wall outlet or from Modem/Router
Wait 30 seconds to a minute
Plug it back in
????
Profit

That's exactly what I told him.

Since I have absolutely no idea what to do with that button, I'm going to talk to my dad tomorrow about it.
Does resetting the modem mean reset it to a factory state or some stuff? Sorry I haven't played with it.

Why are you ignoring us when we're all saying to just unplug it and plug it back in???

And you're blowing this out if proportion! It's not difficult to reset a router. It's unbelievable to me that there's almost two and a half goddamn pages about it.

There is alot of cords that go down into the power bar thing behind my computer, I have no idea which is which, they look the same.

Seriously, it's not that difficult. It doesn't take a genius to do it.
Even though I disapprove a cold restarts, you can easily take out the power cord that plugs into the router/modem and plug it in again (unless it's hardwired into the modem in which you can't take it out)

Even then he can just unplug it from the outlet

He just said he won't go all the way down to the outlet to unplug it because of all the wires.
I know that the cable and router/modem are separate unless the manufacturer who makes the brand that OP has, is intentionally trying to piss off their customers with a faulty design.

What does this mean, and should I press it if I were to restart my router.

The button won't factory reset it. It will restart itself.

So do I just push something into that hole?

Yes, your snake a toothpick would work.

Funny thing is I was actually about to do the whole snake thing but then I realized just how stupid and immature it is.

I was also gonna have "it'll be good practice for later"
