Things that were wrong with this bill thing:

1: Assault Rifles aren't the only type of guns
2: Criminals break the law. It ain't gonna help much anyway.

full auto's are legal, you just need a FFL which cost a bunch of money. i also agree with bisjac, "assault" isnt a term to be used. if you buy a AR-15, then using the name "assault rifle" suggests it is for military/illegal use, when really it should just be called a rifle. why dont we call .22's because they can be semi automatic and can have a large magazine?

Assault rifles got their name because they don't use use full sized rifle cartridges. Which means under 7.62mmx51 Nato and above a pistol cartridge.

there are single bolt actions in every type of ammo. no one on earth would call them assault rifles.
