Author Topic: More sound effects (Video example included)  (Read 3902 times)

I mean, sound effects can give more life to the game you know? Something like ambient sounds, the sounds of the sea, the wind, rain, stuff like that, and other sorts of sounds too, here is a video for example

Wish this was real :c

shaders..

...now, SOUNDS.

tbh it would get annoying after a while and some of it seems out of place to me for some reason.

Not really, just lower the volume or whatever, it could be enabled and choosed on the environment settings

BTW, I really liked the video.

I have three ambient loops, one is Ambient Eerie, Ambient Seagulls, and Ambient Beach

For a second I thought your video was show casing a new mod.

Was horribly disappointed.

It does bug me how quiet Blockland can be, i'd really like the addition of more sounds, whether it be a mod or an update, it'd be something neat

You could possibly even have an option to turn certain sounds off in the Audio options

I know right? I would love to hear more stuff

I thought about making a script for the blockland footsteps sounds, where you would name a brick like "snow" and when you walked on the brick it started playing snowy crunchy sounds and such. Same for grass, and forest. Even one for water(deep) or water(shallow).

I'll rip some sounds from those minecraft mod packs and implement them into blockland

I made an ambient music pack a while ago, had stuff like a fireplace, wind, crickets, rain I think, etc. I lost it though :c
An example of some of the sounds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFR8L2nWqLA

I have a pack of ambient sounds, you may have heard two from my bad-life gamemode.

They are music files. I got them a long time ago, I think from RPG maker VX?

You want them?

My footstep sounds add-on had this right from the start.
