Author Topic: Shared ban list  (Read 1815 times)

A simple mod that whoever downloads, gets people set on their ban list, and is automatically updated........could be hard.

This could be a bad idea, because whoever made the mod, and updated it, could abuse it and make it so someone can;t join any servers for no real specific reason.  Also, if the mod updated itself, someone could hack the server that hosted the updater, and add or remove names.

Besides, a lot of people ban for different reasons, and just because one person thinks someone should be banned doesn't mean they all do.

yeah I agree with fishpen0.

Yeah, if somebody really deserved to be banned on most/all servers, then Badspot would just invalidate the offenders key, so they can't go on Blockland any more. Of course, they would have to be REALLY abusive of Blockland and stuff, but basically, just ban people as you wish to ban people.
Master List = Haxxable. Haxxable = Bad. Bad = Not going to be implemented.
Therefore Master List = not going to be implemented.
Thank you for your time.

You should teach webernet logic.

i don't think people should be completly cut off from bl, cuz then it's like they wasted $20 bucks, and they'll they're friends, those friends will tell they're friends, and pretty soon you have an anti-blockland community. PEOPLE SHOULD BE BANNED FROM SERVERS. NOT GAMES.

Well, personally, I assumed that you would have to be very bad to possibly have 'my' concequences take effect.
But seriously, what's the difference between getting bhant from all servers and losing your key? (Well, there is the lack of infinite bricks in single player mode, but the single player in BL sucks anyway.)

If someone gets his key revoked, then he's reduced to demo limit...
Meh, whatever, I just don't think a shared ban list is a good idea.
