I hated all the wierd "cortana-y" bits in halo 4 though.

I really hate the ending (not the ending in general just one tiny bit of it) and the lightbridge scene.

I recommend the original halo because it was the most fun i ever had.

1 was fine, although i feel like it just lacked some things
2 was ok, i didnt know what was going on and the ending was horrible
3 was perfect. I knew what was going on and it just had a nice feel to it. Presented well. ALSO CUSTOM GAMES
4 was ok. Although I dont like it since it was made purely to make money and not tell a story. Multiplayer is stuff with all the doritos and mountain dew bullstuff with double xp and season pass. Ugh.
Reach was fine, although they improved forge but nobody played custom games with it. It's a real shame :(
ODST was stuff. There was no need for it. At least it came with all the map packs THAT I ALREADY BOUGHT BEFOREHAND
Wars was blegh just because its an RTS. I dont like RTS games. At least they branched out a bit, i guess

Basically, they only should have made 1, 2 and 3. The rest should never have existed. But nooo, microsoft must milk it for all it's worth

I've only played 1, 2 and ODST.  ODST was boring as forget.

i've only ever owned/played/beaten 3 and played reach.

3 is pretty great but i'm not a big fan of the halo series in general

Halo 1, 3, 4, and ODST are the best. I wouldn't recommend wars unless your an RTS fan, the only reason I never sold Reach was multiplayer, and 2 was just mediocre IMO.
