Japanese-esk Arch - [scenario build]

About
I've always been fascinated by Japanese architecture, the shapes and subtle atmosphere. I've always wanted to start out trying to make these buildings, but never had the time. So I recreated this small build as a start up.  This is also the first time i've ever attempted at building a tree. Let alone a cherry blossom... I'm posting this as a quick check-up on wether to keep going or not. Again, this is my first time trying to recreate these types of buildings, so dont be afraid to give some constructive criticism on what I need to improve on. Cheers! c:

Please note: If you couldn't read for whatever reason, this is an EXTERIOR only build. Hopefully, with enough review, i'll be able to build a bigger full scale project. Also, my stone-age computer is sooooooo fast that I cannot produce shadows or the greatest quality of pictures so bare with me.

Cherry Blossom! :D

Gate banner with 1x1 to draw!

vignette overload

This build uses ONLY default bricks and Trueno's colorset. Feel free to rate x/10

Small, but that's the idea.
The wall could do with a bit more variation, add some small round blocks or holes into it.
I can't help but feel the poles supporting the big top roof look a bit too small

Other than that it's good, I like the tree so good job with that!
7/10

Well, I initially set out to achieve a look like this,
However, I lack the patience and skill of variation. /:

I agree. Scaling is quite a bit of a problem for me. Which is why I prefer the style of improv better.

I think it's pretty nice.

Oh it's not bad, it could just be improved a little bit
It's all still good

I agree, I also think that those two black bricks are way too dark

I like it, would be cool if you made a whole temple or something to go with it.

I feel like the roof is a bit too... tall. Could be just me though.

That tree would not be flowering with snow on the ground..

Very pretty build. I can also see you are an abstract artist/thinker.
8/10 on the build.
The reason why it's not a 10 is because it is a bit too small, and the grey doesn't go too well with the other colors.

It's a scenario build, intentionally built to that size on a 32x32 plate.
If I wanted to make a larger project, I wouldn't have made it strict to 32x32.
I do appreciate the input though.
