Author Topic: StartIsBack - Windows 8 Start Menu!  (Read 1113 times)

So while looking on the internet, I finally found a start menu for windows 8!
This program uses the Windows NT based start menu, Microsoft said they removed it, they actually didn't, they just made it inaccessible.
So the program allows you to use the Windows NT based start menu, like they had in Windows 7! This program costs 3 dollars for a license that is activateable on 2 PC's. I bought it, its legit. You can still get the metro back if you want, all you do is uninstall it.

And this
I want win8 for the new start menu

>Goes onto website
>"oh nice, this highers my thoughts of getting Windows eig-"
>"You can try it or buy it!"
>forget that i'm not paying for a start menu

It is also customizable.
For example, if I want it to fit with windows 8, i can have the windows 8 logo as the button, and the start menu theme to look like it.
This has no viruses at all.

Start 8 is the same thing you tard

Start 8 doesn't use the real actual NT start menu.
It is basically the same thing but doesn't use the actual menu that the Windows NT kernel has.
It also cost less, so thats a plus.

Who would want a start menu in the first place for windows 8 windows 7 is the same price but with one. Why waste your money for a os without a start menu and buying some stupid start menu to go with it. Just buy the damn os with the start menu and boom you're done. Simple

EDIT: sorry for stuff spelling on ipad

Wasn't there a free alternative that did the exact same thing somewhere? I think I remember seeing one.

Hmm, lets see, oh, maybe their computer came with Windows 8 and they dont want to spend another 200+$ on windows 7? Just to get a start menu?

There are free alternatives, but they aren't the actual thing, here is what the program does, since the Start Menu is too integrated with the Windows NT enviroment, since it isn't accessible in windows 8, the program takes the actual start menu that is in Windows, and puts it there so its accessible.

Yeah okay
"Try it Free" is probably a trial or something that has you buy another thing to get Start8

Also I found it. Start Menu 8 by IObit

I don't understand what the benefit is of using the Windows NT Environment. If there is a free alternative that does the exact same thing, why pay for it?
