I originally PM'd this to Rotondo, but he hasn't responded.
On top of that, maybe you guys have some responses too, something to add or anything.
So yeah, here it is:

As for player datablocks, of course you would have the 'problem' where people could select non-bot datablocks, but then again, spawning a default-type bot (with no default behaviour) with that datablock would work.

Then we also have some variables in the bot datablock that, in my eyes, should/could be moved to a pop-up menu that is activated with a button called "Properties" on the brick's options.
Things like:
hSpawnTooClose
hSpawnTCRange
hSpawnClose
hSpawnCRange

The reason why i could see this work in a properties menu of the hole brick is because have to do with the hole brick anyway.

They should be spawned just like vehicles.

I agree with this, actually.  Although I don't mind the current system.  It'd be very cool to just have 1 bot hole. (or 3, just to have the 3 different sizes)

The thing however with one seperate brick is that he can add special things to the brick itself, like i said.
The spawn restrictions that are currently in the bot datablock should be moved to a new properties menu of the brick.
And currently you can already set the weapon of the bot which is actually kind of useful. :)

So a seperate bot hole brick is okay, but the system of one bot hole for one bot is just silly in my honest opinion and i really can't see the reason for it.
