Didn't see him enough in 2, i liked Handsome Jack even though he was a big ol' jerk face, but i still liked Roland purely for the fact that i had so much fun playing as him in Borderlands and liked how he joins the player in some battles in Borderlands 2 and will even use his turret that heals and whatnot

His turret made me feel powerful with how i could heal nearby teammates as well as regenerate ammo for everyone with my class mod, i think it was

Plus having a powerful enough burst fire assault rifle to instantly full heal a teammate, and wreck anything in your path.
