some form of engineering, likely physics related since i seem to be good at it, or computer science. teaching might be fun too.

that's actually a huge part of aerospace engineering

you could major aerospace with a minor in computer science, or a concentration in computer science

Actuary in one of the major insurance firms in Charlotte. It has a high median pay rate (around $60,000 a year start) and pretty easy work, without the need of a specific degree.

On the other hand, I'd love to be a hardware engineer at one of the bigger supercomputer manufacturers, like Cray or IBM. It has an even higher median salary (around $89,000 a year), and is basically putting together computers 40 hours a week.

Currently junior year college student. Electrical Engineering is my current trac though I could quickly switch to Physics or Computer Engineering and possibly take another year of schooling -- we'll see. Possible career outcomes which I could take: Programmer (could probably get hired right now), Computer Security Professional (could probably get hired right now), Intelligence brown townyst (actually a plausible job, not joking I have met some professional CIA connections while networking), straight up Electrical Engineer obviously (insanely broad scope), Computer Engineer (my University gets lots of hires from Intel for processor design!), Physicist (there are so many opportunities with this degree and I really love the subject, I've taken many classes). Overall there's tons of things you can do and just remember that you have to do what you love because 40 years (or more) is a long loving time.

So you think that a major in aerospace engineering and then a minor in computer science would be better than the other way around?

Writer.

I've already typed up a bare bones lore for a fantasy realm.

hm actually that could possibly be better

there are hundreds of people who would be better to talk to rather than me.  if that's something you're interested in, you should definitely email someone about it, most professors are happy to help.

I plan to major in Chemical Engineering, Theoretical/Quantum/Physics, and minor is Astronomy
