Author Topic: Cuboid - A free indie game that's good and browser-compatible!  (Read 3362 times)

Okay, the topic name may sound a little funny, but take a look at this:

Basically, you have fun with cubes. You are pretty much the one who commands where they all go by placing food areas, or having it randomly generated for you. But, there's a problem, they all hate each other. If two food areas are too close, then they will start battling over the food that may spawn in the wrong areas (For example, blue food in the yellow territory). There isn't that much to explain about the game. Oh yeah, and if they don't get back to the food on time, they starve out. This is a fun time waster also, and it's free!

Saw it on nerdcubed, seemed pretty epic.

Changed the title to attempt to catch an eye.

This looks interesting, I signed up! I'll try it out later since I'm on my iPad at the moment.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

I was going to do an experiment. What would happen if I left Cuboid Sandbox open with a bunch of cubes and constantly spawning food sources?
I didn't get to see the result. My mom got on before I woke up and closed the tab.
God dammit.

Any way to move the camera faster?

This is weirdly fun. =3

EDIT: Is it me or are the reds overpowered?

They do what you'd expect; just grow and take over.

For mine, the reds get close to being wiped out without me spawning food away from the others.

I find this hard to understand, what exactly do we do in this game? I don't wanna read 2 page instructions.

I don't think there are any instructions. Just place the food (obelisks) and critters (cubes) and watch them go.

Well, basically it's where you have three colored cubes - Yellow, blue and red. You control where their food is (Or you can randomly generate) and so if they get too close to eachother, they begin attacking eachother because they all hate eachother, but if one of them runs out of food and there's some for them that's in the middle of enemy food, they'll fight their way through to get to that food, or if they completely run out of food, they all slowly starve to death.

It would of been cooler if there was a White Food source that all three colors could eat, then they could actually fight over resources.

I did play it before, but I misunderstood it. I'll give it another shot.
The music is so weird on it.

They kinda do fight for resources, if it's in enemy territory.
For example, a batch of red food in the middle of a circle of blue food, the reds would storm and fight their way through Blue to get to that food.
