Author Topic: Bitcoins just peaked $236 per BTC  (Read 8831 times)

I ended up mining $20 over the last week. When I started, it was $104.

I feel like im in a room with a bunch of wall street people and they are talking about some money thing that makes no sense.

all of this makes sense
it's really simple

how many bitcoins could i make in one day

CPU mining is only a waste of money.

GPU mining with that (would've helped if you said it was an AMD Radeon) is something like $5 per day. The best way to find out is to try it.

yeah i've heard that
of course i'd be using my gpu (sapphire radeon hd 7970 3gb vram)

Using a 6870 I usually get about 0.03 BTC per day. I'd imagine you might get triple that, given you used a mining pool like Bitminter.

That's a nice card.

Use this testing client with your GPU:
http://bitminter.com/client/bitminter.jnlp

(Forces you to login)

Optionally, to start getting BTC, you can signup at Slush's pool and use GUIMiner.

edit: this thread on /r/bitcoin says you should be pessimistic and multiply the difficulty by ten for a few months. now it says i'll make negative profit. :(
