Author Topic: Roblox's Dynamic Lighting in Beta (IMPORTANT 4/12/13)  (Read 4892 times)

well now "scary" games can now have a "scary" feel to it
its also a little ironic that i've been playing roblox and this happens.

why are they acting like this technology from a decade ago is something super-spectacular, lol

Whats with them and putting literally stuffty dubstep in their videos? I think it attracts the BAD side of the generation we all know and hate.
Anyhow; Why are these worse than Blockland's? And why are they released AFTER Blockland has them? Not trying to say they are copying us (like they have millions of times.)

Its not a bad game but their community is stuff and they literally make you pay for ridiculousness.

I don't think the average roblox player on their mom's computer can even run shadows.

Okay so they can calculate generic black blobs for shadows. What game in 2000 wasn't doing that?
blockland? jk, I can't even remember lol

not that great

they look okay though, and it'll definitely make the game look better

Meh, still in beta, it would probably be improved.

Please, keep this in ROBLOX.

It's really gross. Hoping that they make some big changes from beta to finished product but I doubt it.

It's really funny how our shadows look better

The shadows aren't THAT bad come on now. One thing I forgot to mention is that I was reading a Q/A about the dynamic lighting on the Roblox blog and someone asked if their current fog feature could work with the dynamic lighting, meaning if you put a light source in a foggy area it will sort of make that area have less fog. I am wondering if Blockland can do this since fog was released the same time shaders were, I tried it myself and it didnt look too great but maybe I was doing somethig wrong.

Blockland rip- off !!!1! >:(
