Northern lights (aurora borealis) to possibly be visible in the northern US

Excluding from Alaska, seeing the northern lights in the US is pretty rare. Most of the time, the northern lights stay way above 50 degrees north. A solar storm on Thursday has caused the northern lights to extend southward.
