Author Topic: Heat Mod V4 (Small Update 4/21/13)  (Read 10910 times)

You should add overheating and you start to die. Also instead of a heat block, you could add a cold block to cool the player down.
overheating will be made in the future
cold zones aswell as cold water was planned

Bug Report Start
okay, so apparently the mod kinda works, props to that. but sadly, whenever i placed multiple bricks together (because i never make 16x16 rooms!) it only heats at very certain places. i tried standing right in the middle, and i almost froze to death.
also, sometimes this doesn't work at all. the heat hud shows up at the bottom, but doesn't help at all, since it's always like
"100% | Warm"
please fix.

that sounds very odd
I'll look into the zones
but the hud not updating doesn't make much sense, because the bottom print updates at the exact same time you lose heat

do these problems occur with default addons?

EDIT: I realize the problem with the heat bricks and will fix it, I have no idea about the bottom print not updating though

V2 ---> V3
Fixed a problem where entering heat zones right next to each other would consider you not in a heat zone
Added status "Warming up" when below 80 heat while in a heat zone (purely cosmetic)

please keep me posted on any other bugs, rtb approval is still being awaited

Heat Mod + Hunger Mod = Real life RP

Awesome, but i have a question

If the environment is in snow, and is day, you still gain temperature?

that's all customize able in the prefs

does this have realistic hypothermia/hyperthermia or do you just die instantly

you being losing 1 health per second when below 20% body temp, once you reach 5% or lower it starts going down by 5 health

You should make it reversible so if you get too hot you die.

For deserts and stuff.

like cosmetic just make the heat rise and heat cubes decrease your heat or like both ways

You have to understand that I have no talent.
I could never figure out how to do that.

no I meant like its a cosmetic thing like same functions except reversed

or overheating and freezing

Sweet mod, I have a couple suggestions though.
1. Make it so we can adjust how hot/cold a temperature zone is, so instead of having 2 temperatures (heat zone, non-heat zone) we can have a wide variety.
2. Like the other 100 suggestions, add hyperthermia in addition to hypothermia, and add individual check boxes for hypo- and hyper-thermia.
3. Items to warm you up and cool you down, like maybe Hot Cocoa and Cold Water?

overheating is like 50% done cold zones and cold water will be added, I don't really what you mean by temperature zones basically they are adjustable prefs for how much heat you lose/gain during the day night and the last one is for if no daycycle is in place

You said there are like 6 bricks to adjust your temperature right, the 4x, 8x, and 16x.
Well, make it so that we can adjust their temperature. Say the default is like 1% a second. I'm suggesting you implement an event so we can change it, to make cold regions, or really hot regions, etc.

Also, how do you like the temperature item idea?
