I'm sorry she's going through depression, and the miscarriage can't be helping. But a child won't fix that, nor will alcohol

It doesn't matter if it doesn't have a mind. It could have had a mind had it been bored and had possibly lived a great life. Don't act completely stupid. The fact is the baby died and as a result there is a major loss of a potential important part of somebody's life. Had they had lived, perhaps they would have become a cop and stop a robbery, saving the lives of many. Or maybe become one of the most innovative inventors to touch the face of the Earth.

Think about the big picture.
