"If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated (anah) her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives." Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NIV
Deuteronomy 22:11 You shall not wear a garment of different sorts, as of woolen and linen together
That's the part of the Old Testament that's not relevant anymore, it would be insane to have stuff like that in modern times. You're not going to hell for wearing jeans, and rape is a crime regardless of your beliefs.
Before you whine and cry about how we "pick and choose", there is a lot of old testament that is still relevant. Not all of it is wrong, but not all of it is right.
if he loves everyone why does he have to segregate people. i guess you think race segregation is okay to? maybe blacks shouldn't be allowed to join either? or maybe people with glasses?
im fine with people being christian, i myself am agnostic, but i'm not okay with people putting other people down due to their religion as that is just wrong.
God doesn't segregate people. A black man has as much of a chance to get into heaven as a white man does.
People segregate people. The extremists in charge of BSA segregate because they're people.
i see
what sort of god hates people with different likes and dislikes
that seems unfair?
He doesn't...?
