Author Topic: We should legalize Psilocybin Mushrooms. - HAPPY 4/23!!!  (Read 4105 times)

The drug might not cause damage, but a guy on a bad trip can be dangerous.
Exactly, so make public consumption illegal. Nobody complains about public intoxication laws because they're completely reasonable. You don't want other people to get hurt.

All drugs should be legal and taxed.
Yeah I guess this is reasonable

Why is everyone saying no? Is it just because drugs are bad and should never be legal? Because magic mushrooms are legal in Amsterdam, Amsterdam isn't a place known for violent crimes now is it.

it's illegal to have prescription drugs without a prescription

why not prescription mushrooms

Then they can go live in Amsterdam.

many doctors use drugs which civilians can't have recreational legally

why not mushrooms
Pretty sure that is illegal. No one is above the law, even police, firemen(and women), and police officers must obey.

why not tax the drugs that are most dangerous to people the most money, therefore no average citizen would want to buy them. also legalization wouldn't stop the government from posting anti-drug propaganda anyways; they do it to cigarettes.

My Grandfather was an alcoholic, he is dead now and a tax never him. I don't a tax is going to stop people who are currently addicted, but might it look unattractive to those who aren't doing said drug.

i meant prescription drugs

So are these doctors/pharmacists stealing merchandise or self prescribing and then using them for recreational use?

Then they can go live in Amsterdam.

So you have no argument against magic mushrooms then? There are no serious health effects from them. So why are they illegal? Because they're a drug?

It's because people lose control of themselves when under the influence. It seems self-control doesn't seem to exist anymore because all I hear about are DUI related deaths. Also while out in the City I see a lot of homeless people talking to themselves, imaginary things, or attacking inanimate objects.

If it's abusable it shouldn't be legalized. End of story.

To legalize a hallucinogen? Hmmm, let me think. People could do very dangerous things, or possibly hurt themselves. And anyways, do you want any handicaps to walk around high because it's legal? So yes, legalizing them is VERY stupid.
If someone does something they should have full responsibility for it, despite what they have consumed. If you think it's ok to ban something because you think the risks outweigh the benefits you have some problems to manage. Let everyone decide for themselves without the Nanny State telling you if it's ok.

that's the best idea, i think.
