Author Topic: CraftStudio - a game making platform to make games [[GOES BETA IN 5 HOURS]]  (Read 2793 times)

CraftStudio is a really useful program, and is a great way to get started with game designing. The interface is friendly and very organized, they have a large French player-base, well that's because the game is made abroad in France. There are some English speakers on it like me. But CraftStudio is currently €13 and will probably go up in price in a few hours from now when it goes into beta. You can make all types of games, 1D platformers, 3D MMORPG's, 2.5D simulations, etc. Soon you will be able to host your own servers.

Seems pretty interesting.

Seems pretty interesting.

It is, I got it in February while it was in alpha.
Keep in mind guys, technically, it's still in alpha. But in 16-17 hours from now, the price of the game will probably go up.

I am really interested on this

I was too before I bought it.
Well, to tell you the truth I never bought it like with most games.
I paid someone with ROBUX that I had (5000) which was gotten from placed visits to get this. I never pay real money for video games.

Also guys: if you have any questions about CraftStudio, I suggest tweeting @CraftStudiodev (I think it's that). Elisee (the owner) is always online and willing to respond to anything but everything.

2 things to add in: it was just confirmed that the price will go up to €20 I think (maybe more, and it's in Euro's).
CraftStudio currently doesn't have many great games, 95% are still in dev. on it.

Ha, this looks really cool. I'd just get it to play around.

Yeah well making games on it too are a lot of fun.
You can invite others into your project with no limit, and they can build and program and model with you.
Also on CraftStudio - you can create animations and animaters play a strong role on CraftStudio, in fact there is a really advanced animating system on the game.

Jump-rope sim?

What do you mean by that? Also guys, you could really make anything in this game. It's limitless. You can configure camera angles and views in your game, it's amazing, including the lighting.

Talking about with the 1D option.

Like I said, you could make anything. CraftStudio has an amazing physics engine; but you can really make your own physics engine inside your game. The only downside is, since this game making engine is relatively new, there aren't many pre-made things to use inside your game.

Igloos, platformers aren't usually 1D.
But since Igloos didn't mention it in the OP, this program revolves around being in the same cubic style as Minecraft.

Well it does revolve around cubes when modelling; but in no way is this anything like Mienkrap.
