update: changed my mind about this game, not because the developer is a jerk face, but because his game is a jerk face and also a crashing crap sack.

since fez was first put out on thursday, it's been updated up to v1.03.
although the fact that there are bugs only proves phil's laziness further, i'm sure they'll get worked out soon enough. i've run into at least ten bugs throughout my current game, crashed about four times.

as a side note

fez was everything i expected and more out of a platformer puzzle game
people (as i'm seeing in this thread, as well as in reviews) tend to think that the game "only consists of jumping around" and ironically jump on the bandwagon of "the game is boring".
i bought the game because i wanted a mental challenge that would frustrate me for a few days but end with me feeling accomplished when i beat it. this game will give you that.
if you want a generic shoot em up with blood and guts galore then this is not the game for you, but it doesn't make this game a bad game.
