That's rather a difficult decision, because they would still execute the civillians.

Demman is willing to contact SCE (King) Tuevon XLVII about the possibility of ETOI strikes on the guards.

Also Demman is willing to shoot at all the annoying news vans and stuff that keeps coming.

OCS operators rush to the scene and usher away the press.  OCS currently has one gunship at their disposal in the area if need be.  Trucks with .50 machine guns and automatic grenade launchers there as well (you know cus they carry the troops).

"Thank you, please hold off the gunship until the hostage situ-"
With 19 minutes left until the hostiles are supposed to be executed, Demman's radio switches to the man's voice again.  He speaks with a slight tone of nervousness.

"I am tired of your insolence.  Say goodbye to your citizens."

At that moment, a huge explosion is heard and felt in the distance.  Fire squads relocate to the south end where a great plume of smoke is rising.  Civillians are being relocated to the South Nimun Shelter.  APCs follow.  The State Millitary is called in.

A cowardly captive from the hostile lines is brought to a dark room, escorted by two district marshals.  The man is immediately strapped down in a chair and left alone.  The man is whimpering from the SEMT burn on his left shoulder.  The Marshals that brought him in leave the room.  There is silence all except for the man's small cries.  Demman enters the room slowly and walks up to the man, and tenderly slides her hand under the man's head and turns his head up towards her, so as to look him directly in the eyes.  Demman then harshly slaps the man across the face with her other hand and turns away, facing the opposite wall.

She speaks in a smooth, deep voice:  (Translated from Erinamese)

Demman:  "Listen to me once, and once only."
Demman:  "I realize that this drug cartel in Nimun is quite large, and I acknowledge its presence here."

She pauses.  The man continues to whimper, now also for his severely bruised cheek.

Demman:  "However, I have reason to believe that this operation exists in more than just South Nimun, more than just Erinaum."
She turns toward the man.
Demman:  "So tell me~  Where are your other sources?"

???:  *gasp* "I'm not--" *gasp* "telling you anythin-" *gasp* "you goddamn witch!"

Demman walks slowly up to the man, who now begins to utter choking sobs.

Demman:  "I'm sorry, that's not the correct answer.  I'll give you one more chance to answer me properly.  You act as if I don't know about you at all, as if Erinaum doesn't know that you exist.  You see, Vålderesk has all of its criminals and suspicious figures documented, and we've already sourced your information, Vanitie Zhoko.  We know that you have travelled outside Erinaum for operations more than 38 times.  With that, I ask you what you know.  Are you going to give me the right answer?"

Zhoko:  "The sources-- *gasp* -are in Christopher City."

Zhoko continues sobbing.  Demman turns to face away from him.

She pauses for a brief moment.
Demman:  "Thank you for playing, Vanitie Zhoko."

Outside the interrogation room, a shot is heard from inside.  The sobbing stops.  DMC Demman walks out and whispers to men wearing black suits just outside the door.  They promptly walk away down the hall to the left.  Demman walks down the hall to the right who motions the marshals, who return to carry the body away.

OOC:  Erinaum does not negotiate with terrorists.

Zhoko:  "The sources-- *gasp* -are in Christopher City."
ey man i gotta make a profit you know how it is

OCS operatives scramble themselves around the city, weeding out criminals and detaining them, sending them immediately to Erinamese prisons.  Some comment that they are too brutal in their arrest procedures and call them out for police brutality, to which they simply respond, "We're not police."  The success rate for the OCS mercenaries is relatively high as of current (89%).  They also pull out caches of weapons and send them to the recruiting center, which is where they are currently based the most, until the training center is completed (at about 67% completion).

Those caught in Christopher City are not the responsibility of Erinaum.

It's an international cartel.  Nimun isn't the base, Christopher City might not even be the base.

I meant in Erinaum.  The criminals in Christopher City aren't OCS's problem unless they interfere or OCS is paid to eliminate them.

Drug problems increase in Afkoshlia, and riots continue as drug legalization supporters try to push back those who don't. The government is seriously considering legalizing the drug trade, but they don't, for fears that legal complications could evolve from the other nations that border Afkoshlia which would definitely have an increase in drug trade.

Ah, I see.

Anyways, back from school, so...

Marshals, Vanguards and OCS Operatives breach through the tunnels to the point where the warehouse is connected to the underground tunnels.  The wall between the warehouse and the tunnel seems to have collapsed.  Resistance is highly focused in these areas.

All Marshals and OCS Operatives are ordered to clear out.  They area is sealed and fans pointed inwards to the middle of the factory are set up.  All south-side stations connected to the line are checked and safe civillians are removed.  The subway stations are then sealed completely by an expanding polymer spray.  A truck carrying strange tanks enters the blocked off area and these tanks are unloaded in front of the fans.  Small devices are attached to the nozzle of the tanks.  An officer pulls out a remote control and presses the button.  The barrels release gas and the gas begins to travel down the hallways into the warehouse and tunnels.

No wonder crime rates stay low in Erinaum.

Jesus loving christ, not even New Manhattan PF was that harsh.

It's not poison.  It only puts them to sleep.

The fact that they began resisting State Marshals made them subject to crimes of High Treason, the penalty for which is death.  By doing this, I am sparing hundreds, maybe thousands of lives.

Oh, never mind then.  See, New Manhattan police would have gassed them out with lead.

Oh dear god no.  Erinaum realizes that poisonous and lethal gasses are not to be used EVER on a civillian population, and only in dire circumstances within war.  Erinaum prefers getting things done in the painless way if possible.  (Though interrogation tactics remain as harsh as ever.)

Erinamese Officials call this method "Steaming the Hive."
In a few hours, those inside will be carried out and detained for questioning in Nimun State Prison.
