Author Topic: Strange yellow (?) line appearing on monitor  (Read 7233 times)

My mac had the same problem.

Too bad macs are handicapped so instead of switching monitors I had to get rid of it.

Yikes.

So is it agreed upon that it's my monitor, and that it's probably going to last another month at least?

i seriously think apple rigs their products to fail just for money

My IMac G3 still runs just fine, same with my G6, these machines are pretty loving durable if you ask me.

Apple sucks if you ask me.

It may be your graphics card, this exact same problem happened on an old laptop of mine

If it was his graphics than a screenshot might have caught it. Its more the less his screen.

Whenever I plugged my old laptop into it's power supply, I would get white noise like this cutting across my screen too. It also did not appear in screenshots. Unfortunately I never figured out how to fix it.

It's a monitor issue I believe.

If it was my GPU then wouldn't the defect be a bit less orderly? And as alyx said, a screenshot probably could've caught it then.

It probably is the monitor itself. Try using another monitor/using that one on another computer
