Author Topic: Why do some people think the plural for LEGO is LEGOS  (Read 9811 times)

Because the plural of lego is legos?.. I don't understand your question here.

Oh, whoopsie.

You could still stay box of cereals and still be grammatically correct, anyways.
Only if it's a single box with multiple cereals.

Not according to, you know, the company that MADE the damn toy.

Who cares?
legos sounds better so it's the correct plural to it

That's not really how it works. It's universally agreed, for example, that "foxen" sounds better than "foxes," but it's still incorrect.

Just because something "sounds better" doesn't mean it's correct.

No

The LEGO company has called them LEGOs.

What.

That's super hypocritical.

Where did you hear this?

A box of cereal is a box of cereal you wouldn't say a box of cereals would you? Cause if you would that's just handicapped
That's really off.

You wouldn't say boxes of lego.

Now that just sounds like a cheap movie with loads of product placement.
HEY JIMMY WANT TO PLAY WITH MY LEGO® BRICKS?

If I recall correctly lego stands for "Play on" so Legos= "Play ons"

Hey, that's how the LEGO company wanted it.
