Author Topic: why are bronies so bitch-made?  (Read 10486 times)

one reason why i hate bronies:

you CAN'T ignore them:
i only wanted to find some portal stuff for garry's mod, but when i search portal on workshop i see some kind of fluttershy thing with portal shoes, i mean come on i dont want to see that crap i just want some portal stuff

I absolutely hate Kaiiu, and don't necessarily agree with his initial point, but I am remotely disgusting by some of the behaviors prompted by peoples of this group.  For the most part, it was generated through the concept being "unique," and fueled by rebellious teens.  This blew up, and it soon became a poor thing to dislike the show.  I get that there's a hypocrisy to that, considering people preach it's a poor thing to LIKE the show, but this shouldn't mean you need to keep pretentiousness in its vicious cycle.  I know many people who enjoy MLP, and do not boast it to an extreme.  But when someone who considers themself apart of a major fangroup goes on a raid proclaiming they're of a fanbase, it's incredibly irritating.  Transformers fans, Zelda fans, Twilight fans, Sonic fans, etc.  I actually like Zelda and Transformers, but I never proclaim it to an extreme -- I see people going out of their way just to boast of their knowledge on the subject, which seems to be extremely prominent within the "brony" community.  It's a disgusting behavior that most 13 year old gossiping teenage females act on.

Now, as Kaiiu's does not, my argument is only directed at those who actually abide by the stereotype.

However, I will, no matter what, stand by my "it's unique, let's like it!" standard.  We get several mediocre television shows being blasted out, ones far greater than MLP, yet most haven't launched the same omnoxious fanbase.

To be frank, if you refer to yourself as a "brony," you're enough for me to ignore.  If you enjoy the show, that's fine, but you don't need to exclaim it to unnecessary levels.

I like Zelda, but you don't see me prancing around stating "I'm a hylian!"
..Or brolian, what ever sounds more pompous.

I also want to share this:

I have repeated this point thousands of times in an argument, they either deny being a part of what I explained, or just continue saying "loving hater get a life!"

It's really pretty funny all this arguing is because of a children's show.

its an unfortunate truth

What

this is why i like kaiiu he has the courage to make a thread like this he has the courage to say the thing we've all wanted to say :~)

The things he says on the OP are literally repeated in every other brony hating argument ever.

here's a thought

there are 11,015 pages in the MLP megatopic, and there are about ~15 posts per page, so that's a whooping
165,223 posts, which is 2.6% the entire posts ever made on this forum
There are also about 20 or so individuals who have been supporting this topic for a long time.

so that's practically 8,200 posts per person

the math is probably off because i'm really unsure how many bronies there are but even so, this is not some show, this is a following.

I think we have established that the people coming to this thread to insult bronies are all just close minded. Calling people names and then berating them for responding with rational arguments, generalizing, insulting, and overall just whining how something they dislike CONTINUES to exist despite their best efforts to harass anyone with even a slight relation to it.

Man you made a topic insulting a group of people. I hope you get banned for trolling.

you hold this weak "dont judge me!!!!! :(" mentality, but in the real world people judge you. and thats %100 okay
You can't argue with this guy. It'll just be ad hominem arguments and random insults to any argument you can provide. There is a difference between judging and directly instigating flamewars with inflammatory language and ridiculous retorts. You can have all the opinions and blind hatred you want, just like people are free to like whatever they want, just don't go rubbing it in peoples faces. (Ironically exactly what people hate bronies for)

This is gonna have 30 pages by tomorrow.

And since it's a following, do you really think that a few people calling them stupid is going to cause them to repent or some stuff?

has a smug douche rolled in here and pretended to be holier than everyone actively participating in the thread cause i volunteer

No one's trying to stop you, we're offering a justification for why we disagree with your cult-like behaviors.

We didn't need someone to jump in -- Kaiiu started the topic.

First off, I'm not a brony. I never understood it, and I don't really care for it. I stay away from them, they stay away from me. No issue.

What I don't understand is why this doesn't work for so many other people.
