Top is obsidian, bottom is his stone.



I see similarities, but it's most likely not obsidian.

How dense and or heavy is it? Does it have a 'glassy' texture to it? Is it soft or hard?

To be honest, from a guess, I'd say it's some form of siderite or smokey quartz, possibly even coal.


Its somewhat hard, like a hard plastic. Its shiny but doesn't have a glassy texture like obsidian at all.

It's definitely not obsidian, then. Devil is right, actually. It sounds a lot like baumhauerite, which is quite rare.
