Author Topic: hosting a website?  (Read 678 times)

so
i've been learning html and javascript lately
and i want a little website to call my own
so registering a domain seems simple, but i'm not sure how i'd host it, y'see
i just don't know anything about the process
pls help
how do you go from scattered .html files to hosting a website
or does it make more sense to pay for web hosting?

Free hosting. Very good but only downside you have to log in to your account settings every 30 days or your site is deleted

kind of a loving deal breaker if im honest lol

just use godaddy or dot.tk

000webhost free and there's no catch. I use it for my site.

just use godaddy
Don't use godaddy. They supported SOPA. Which is kind of ridiculous since hosting and domains is what they do.

thats a very idiotic reason not to use something

people dont know the diffrence between domains and hosting, lol
if you're looking for a freehost just use 000webhost, its free but you can only have 1500MB of space and other limited stuff, but its useful for basic websites

well no loving stuff they'd pull back once the entire internet launched on a crusade for their ass. it's not because their ideology has changed; the internet forced their hand and now they have to be something they're not.

personally i reccomend register.com, they have alot more promo codes which saves you $$$, but yeah you can use either
you just have to direct your domain to 000webhost's nameservers
