Author Topic: Need some help with moderate acne  (Read 2786 times)

So yeah, I don't have insane acne, nor do i have little acne. I'm normal I guess you could say. Mainly near my four-head and a little on my cheeks. I'm getting really annoyed with it, cause I do lawn care / landscape as a job... I get really sweaty and then of course I wipe the sweat off of my face, thus making the acne a bit worse. I need some way to keep it down. Here's what I've tried:

- When taking a shower, putting soap on my face and letting it sit there for a bit, then wash it off (Works but really slowly)

- Washing my face with lemon (Works but slowly, not really slow though.)

- Putting cold water on my face when done taking a shower to close up acne (Works duh, but then I wipe the sweat off my face and boom they are open again)

- Not caring (Not working)

- Changing pillow cover daily (I can't tell)

I want to try proactive here soon, but I'd rather not spend the money. I mean, my parents can pay for it, but they'd rather not.

I also work out daily, I do 60-100 crunches daily, I don't do push ups or pull ups because I am working a lot now and I am lifting heavy things all the time, and my arms are tired. I don't usually eat a lot of sweets btw. 1 can of pop weekly and maybe 1 small brownie a week. I don't eat a lot of greasy foods, usually healthy stuff such as mashed potatoes, steak, salad, vegetables, etc.

Suggestions?

You're going to need more than home remedies to get rid of acne.

just use facial cleansers like neutrogena and those noxzema facial pads that they sell in those small blue containers.

Put a fresh towel on your pillow every night.

Normally acne can be controlled by such simple remedies in most cases, however with you working out and sweating profusely almost every-day you will need a medicinal product such as proactive to effectively rid yourself of those nasty little bumps on your face.

tldr Get proactive, or an off-brand acne product

Witchhazel can be pretty good.

Also, make sure you bring plenty of water when you do your work outside. If you can keep yourself cool and hydrated you're less likely to sweat quite as much.

You might want to bring a pack of baby-wipes with you too. You don't really want to be rubbing your face or wiping sweat off of it when your hands are dirty with soil or grass.

Also, make sure you wash your face atleast twice a day. That doesn't have to be with special spot-scrubs or anything.
Regular soap products will work too.
Wash when you wake up in the morning (when you brush your teeth), and wash before you go to bed (when you also brush your teeth).
If you feel your face seems to get too dirty inbetween, then wash once in the middle of the day. If you're at school, then using a baby-wipe is good enough for that.

Yeah, I'm trying to refrain from wiping my face, I do it without noticing :/

pour vodka on your face

My moms good friend puts a tomato on her head when she has bad acne and I stuff you not, it actually works. I've had a entrepreneur le that was really bad and she used it and it got rid of all the pus n stuff. What you need to do is cut open a tomato and put it on were the entrepreneur le is. I did it last in 5th grade. If that doesn't work get some good acne cream. That's what I would recommend

That is most likely due to the natural acidity of tomatoes. However I'd rather not stick something like that on my face.

pour vodka on your face
Or in your mouth and you will stop worrying about your acne.

What I do every night is before I go to bed, I clean my face with a cottonball soaked in rubbing alcohol.

wait like 5 years and it will go away by itself. stop rubbing a loving lemon on your face.

I have heard Proactive was recalled. I wouldn't use it.

Get Neutrogena or Boire.

If it gets worse apply some maximum strength Stridex, available at most Wal-Marts and pharmacies.

It works pretty well for me and helps prevent outbreaks.

Try rubbing it with oil.
