No mail is being stolen here.
The reason stealing real mail is illegal is because the recipient cannot receive it, therefore, it's theft, not reading of mail that doesn't belong to you.
You cannot steal digital information, because the owner will still have said information. When Badspot posts the e-mail you send him, we aren't stealing the mail. In fact, it's his mail so he can give it to anyone he wants anyways.
