To overregulate is not a good thing. I think for when something bad happens, people should have something to fall back on when other things start to fail. Which is how I view this weapon. The gun this plastic model was based off of during ww2 was put in airdrops over france during the time Germany was occupying it. it wasn't the best weapon, but it was something you could defend yourself with. I look at this as good in the name of self defence. Which everyone has a right to. When a tyrannical government begins to rise, they will try and confiscate if not destroy any ways to fight back. This is also why I think its good for other countries as well.
I don't personally see the United Kingdom suddenly undergoing a tyrannical change to it's government and the whole country having all forms of weaponry removed and the people being subjugated by force.
And I do not see that happening in the United States of America.
Nor in any other First World Countries any time soon.
It's a completely paranoid reason, to suggest it's for self-defence.
In first world countries, the only places people will be in fear of a dictatorship or tyranny taking over are the same locations where they will never have access to 3D printers.
This is of no help to those people.
It is just a massive security risk in these countries, like the US and the UK, where it is unneeded. Unless the national socialist's happen to take over all of a sudden, and the armies were all so proud of just up and disappear.
