Author Topic: Mic left on after NJ senate meeting reveals they actually DO want your guns.  (Read 17292 times)

Maybe instead of needing a gun to ward of crazed citizens, perhaps the problem lies within the person who is running at you with the knife?

Everyone jumps to the guns. Its always the guns. People are scared of loosing their precious guns. The problem here is the man holding the gun, not the gun itself.
This is my argument at it's core. Violence doesn't solve more violence.

People have always used and have been killed by weapons. Before guns it was swords, spears, axes, knives, and arrows. Before that clubs and rocks.
And because people have always used weapons means we should continue doing so? Seems like someone's stuck in the past.

So what equals peace, o-mighty Caesar?
Not shooting people, that's for sure.

Also, yes Europe has more blunt trauma, but it's violence rates are lower overall, America is stuck in its "Freedom Through Weapons" approach.

Norway also allows it's citizens to own firearms and they still have fewer deaths. And Norway is in Scandinavia, land of the Vikings.
Because the people there are more responsible than Americans. They don't condone mass shootings just to protect a 300 year old document.

So to solve the worlds problems you want humanity to unify non-vionlently, Which is a neigh impossible feat on its own?

The American people are completely unreasonable sure.

Here's my opinion on guns:

I think guns are more for the army, and not as much for civilians. I get that people like to hunt, but you don't need 1000$ worth of ammunition to shoot animals. And, obviously you shouldn't kill other people.

It's not solving it with more violence, it's more of a ceasefire. Sort of like the M.A.D. theory.
No one's going to go and shoot up a mall if there are a hundred other people with guns in there.
Sort of the same reason people don't generally walk into a police station with a gun.

Who said its nearly impossible lol

Who said its impossible lol
Because it is. You can't trust every human being. And you can certainly not separate humans from their naturally evil nature when they are wired for it.

Unifying the entire world without violence is impossible. I don't even know why this is in question.

The writers of this apparently outdated document are much smarter than you, we aren't just listening to them for stuffs and giggles.

(also for the record that document isn't 300 years old the forget its like 226 years old)

Because it is.
Im sure people thought that getting into space was impossible once, but now look
We have an astronaut singing David Bowie on his final days in a space station

It's impossible because people like you are unwilling to give up your stance on guns and violence. People that are unwilling to trust the government and the nations citizens are holding us back.

You couldn't even get everyone here to get along nevertheless billions of humans with differing opinions.

The fact that you presume that all people are evil in nature makes you sound paranoid and prevents us from moving forward as a nation. The rest of the world isn't an enemy, you don't need to hide behind violence.

You people sometimes. you couldn't even get everyone here to get along nevertheless billions of humans with differing opinions.
That doesn't mean we should all just shoot at each other does it? Just because a few people have different views doesn't mean that we should quit trying to co-exist.

People like me. A person with a strong opinion you mean? You can't trust the governments in the long run. This is where you have failed and where over the course of thousands of years many people have fallen victim to a bad government. Why is that? Because people RUN the government. The government isn't some holy unflawed being that we trust to rule over us. If you want world peace you have to brainwash the people, take their rights away to have an opinion and sit on a throne of power. You either learn from your history or you become one of the people doomed to repeat it. Not every person is "naturally good". You are one misguided individual.

I'd rather be brainwashed and happy than dead.
