Author Topic: i dont get homeschooling  (Read 11086 times)

i just dont
can someone explain me what the benefits of homeschooling are
i mean at public/private school you can get together/make new friends, hang out and stuff
homeschooling you just sit at home all day

There are no advantages to it. It only seems to create social outcasts who have no friends.

^ whOA where'd that come from
i bet that was a super harmful joke to a lot of people
if it even was a joke, i really hope it was

I have two friends.

I'm still a social outcast though but I mean I would be even if I went to school anyways, I love computer too much to be normal.

I kinda agree with this, one of my closest friends came from be homeschooled, he was the most awkward forget for about 2.5 years, now he he is able to function in a normal school system and is one best know people in my group

But what if you went to school from the beginning?

Then you spend your time on a building block game forum telling people how great it is to stay at home all day. *cough*Darkness ZXW*cough*

Well maybe I would be a different person but I'm glad I'm not. I love my knowledge for computers (Even though it's not much) I'm super thankful for at least understanding slightly how this stuff works.

You sure are missing out on some really stupid fun stuff man. Just the other day I saw a fight over a pair headphones.

ITT: Public schoolers will begin to pretend like they know stuff.

It REALLY depends on your environment you were raised in. I'm not socially awkward at all.

I don't have any friends, I'm tired of seeing people everyday and being forced to talk to others.
I wish I could get home schooled, then I wouldn't have to deal with ignorant delinquents that ask me why I have a large and descriptive, sophisticated vocabulary.

Most of them rather use their cellphone in class rather than pay attention to the teacher, I feel as if I'm the only guy who pays complete attention to a person devoting time of their life to give knowledge us, then again the person does get payed, however I see it as a hidden insult.

They too ask about why don't I have a cellphone, reason is I have no friends, they say they can't live without cellphones.

Also did you know that people these days actually text more than actually use a cellphone for calling people.
I find it absolutely ridiculous.

And in case your wondering why I typed in such a descriptive manner, I am using the vocabulary I use outside the internet when talking to others, it takes a while to type out everything the way I want to say it.

I'm super glad I wasn't raised by one of those overprotective or weird as forget parents Homeschooler types, stuff could have been loving horrible.
I think I know why you have no friends.

stereo-typist to the extreme I see. Or do you mean you WERE homeschooled but not in a traditional way?

...Tesla, I'm homeschooled, I'm saying there is different types of people who homeschool.

You edited your post. (Or I'm terrible at reading, I need to go to bed)

I loving hate being homeschooled my entire life. It made me awkward enough to where I didn't even want to enroll in a public school because I figured that I wouldn't be able to handle being around a bunch of other people all day, (almost) every day.

Not to mention around grade 9 my Mom kind of stopped teaching me personally because of her work schedule, so I was left to just read the textbooks and sort of teach myself. Right now I'm enrolled in an e-school and it's a lot better than before, but I still feel rather lonely and depressed some times.
Thankfully I met a group of people who are now my friends, and now I'm friends with their friends, etc. Only thing is, they all live in a different town all together so I don't really see them that often.

I'm not socially awkward any more though, I'm just not around many people.
