Author Topic: Why is avatar changing so slow?  (Read 468 times)

I have tried on numerous occasions to switch my avatar from to (it worked finally) with no luck.

after a few seconds of searching, it has come to my attention that i am not the only one with this issue

as of right now, my avatar is still the same. i tried to change it hours ago. this is absolutely preposterous

Is it correct now?

All I see is a friendy jumping horse

wow. perfect timing

The forums have been slow in general lately, not too surprising.

wow. perfect timing

it just changed
looking at horse timing

it didn't

gotta press F5 if you want it to switch quick

if I'm not mistaken, that is

it didn't
I changed the outline from black to a darker color than the inside.

friend horse likes to limp, better put him down.

F5 just refreshes the page. So that might work, but it'd be really weird.

That's the problem.

Badspot changed how the forum handles avatars, and by default, web browsers do not automatically change images like that because of something called web cache.

If you want to see your new avatar without having to wait, you'll have to clear your cache by either going to your browser's settings and clearing them there or by refreshing the page using a certain keybind such as Ctrl+F5.

tl;dr: Just clear your browser's cache.
