if i had to choose any metal band, it would be Dio. Not even sure if it can be labeled under metal because it's got clean vocals, nice-sounding instruments, and nearly curse-free lyrics.

You do realize that metal has all of those things, right? It just depends what subgenre you're listening to.

I get that a lot. I guess you just get used to metal, so much so that nothing really sounds the same.
