Why no mention of my hometown band Pantera?

No i mean bands like Dio, Judas Priest, etc.
Those are both heavy metal bands, not "classic metal" bands.

The first I understand, but does the latter only hate djent because they don't think it's a legitimate genre or because they truly dislike the sound?

I dislike the sound, but I don't see how it's not a legitimate genre.

On a side note, Manowar is awesome.
